This quote, for quote Friday, speaks to me for many reasons. I’ve kept it tucked away for awhile, but take a listen, read the lyrics, and I think you’ll also find much to embrace about this song (from the ever-90’s favorite, Des’ree! Thanks T, for pointing this one out awhile back!)
Challenge.
Be Bold.
Embrace.

love this song!
though i do have to admit that every time i hear it, i do think of the mid-90s saturday night live sketch where they did a spoof of it. it was ellen cleghorne singing as OJ simpson’s first wife: “you gotta jump high, you gotta run fast, you gotta be a part-time ninja… all i know, all i know, mace saved my life…”
so, so wrong… 🙂

Ha!!! That’s a riot, so true. This song conjures up lots of old school memories. But lyrics can’t be beat!

I LOVE that song. Challenge what the future holds to me means let go of the past so that it doesn’t repeat itself.
Sending you love for a great weekend.

I love love love this song. It’s been on my cassettes, then CDs, and now iPod for years now. It’s in a morning mix I’ll someday get around to creating–along with Ain’t No Stopping Sunshine by Yoli and Pocketful of Sunshine by Natasha Bedingfield.
My favorite line is “try to solve the puzzles in your own sweet time.” It reminds me that the timetables God has for me and I have for myself are the only ones that matter.
Have a good weekend! 😀
